At White Glove Moving & Storage, we understand that moving is more than just a change of location; it is a transformative life event.
Helping Students Move Forward with a $1,000 Scholarship
With over 30 years of experience in the moving industry, we have helped countless families and individuals navigate their relocations with care and ease. Every move holds significance, including starting college or relocating with family.
We also recognize the unique challenges students face, like moving out of campus housing for the summer, storing belongings between living arrangements, or relocating for internships. Moving and organizing belongings can be a lot to manage, and we are here to offer moving, packing, and storage services to make these transitions easier.
To support students during these important moments, we are proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to assist with academic expenses, allowing students to focus more on their studies and less on the logistics of relocation.
Scholarship Details
- Award Amount: $1,000.
- Submission Format: Essay of 500 to 750 words.
- Topic: “The Most Challenging Move I Experienced and What It Taught Me.”
- Eligibility: Open to high school seniors, university students, and college students enrolled in an accredited U.S. institution.
- Deadline: July 1, 2026, 11:59 PM EST. Late submissions will be declined.
How to Apply
- Write a 500- to 750-word essay on “The Most Challenging Move I Experienced and What It Taught Me.”
Your essay should reflect on a personal moving experience that tested you in meaningful ways. Describe the challenges you faced during the move and how you navigated them. Consider what the experience taught you about resilience, adaptability, and personal growth, and how it influenced your perspective moving forward. - Use a Google Doc document to submit your essay. Please ensure we can view it.
- Complete the Application Form below. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE ONLY WAY TO APPLY IS THROUGH THIS FORM.

Selection Criteria
The winning essay will be selected based on:
- Creativity & Originality: A unique and compelling story.
- Clarity & Organization: Well-structured and engaging writing.
- Impact & Reflection: How effectively the essay highlights the challenges of the move, the lessons learned, and the writer’s personal growth as a result of the experience.
- Relevance to Topic: How clearly the essay addresses the theme.
- Fairness and Authenticity: All submissions will be checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content. Essays that are not original or are found to be generated by AI will be disqualified.
Review Process
- All submissions are carefully reviewed to ensure they meet eligibility and quality standards.
- Our team then selects the most compelling essays to move forward as finalists.
- Finalist essays are published on our official Facebook and Instagram profiles for public voting.
- The entry with the highest social engagement through likes is selected as the winner of the $1,000 scholarship.
- Applicants can receive a 5-vote bonus by sharing their entry and tagging our official handles on social media and LinkedIn.
- The winner will be notified via email and announced across all White Glove Moving & Storage channels.
Privacy & Data Usage
All personal information submitted through the application form will be used solely for the purpose of the scholarship application. White Glove Moving & Storage will not share or sell applicants’ personal data. Applicants’ names and essays will be published on our website and social media channels for public voting.
Terms & Conditions
- The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the winner within one month of the winner’s announcement.
- The winner is responsible for any tax implications of receiving the scholarship.
- By submitting an entry, applicants grant White Glove Moving & Storage permission to publish their essay on our website and social media.

Let me tell you right now from our pick up in NJ to our delivery in SC they were 100% perfect as hard as that might be to believe its true they were kind and helpful and even helped move our delivery date back so we were able to move in a bit earlier.

I had a complicated 2-day move from my home in Central JC (with 2 stops at my storage unit) to a new apartment and items going to a 2nd home in South Jersey. Jason, Luis and Nicholas were AMAZING. I cannot say enough wonderful things about their professionalism, insane hard work, patience and overall fabulous job. I would highly recommend White Glove Moving and their team especially if you have a complicated move coming up. I realize there are cheaper outfits out there, but if you want confidence in the job, value your furniture and want the job done effortlessly (they wouldn't even let me open a box on my own) - then I highly recommend them. Moving is awful in and of itself, don't make it harder on yourself. 5 stars!

Overall experience was good. Slight disappointment at the end when stuff was delivered at my apartment in Ohio. There was only one person so it took a while, guy didn’t offer his help unpacking with anything that did not need to reassemble.

Where to start... We used WG Moving & Storage for a series of moves and temporary storage and they were amazing every step of the way. I had made a mistake with my first move date and they were able to help pivot to the correct day, no charges or questions asked. Once on site their crew was professional and efficient they track all of the boxes with a iPad. We needed to keep our first move item in storage for a month until we closed and they were great. The day we moved into the new house it was seamless, one crew was at my old house packing while a second crew loaded out items out of storage and brought it to the new house. They put down protection on the floors and against walls going up to the second floor. They pricing was very competitive too, i received three quotes and they were the most cost effective once factoring in the storage component. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AND WILL TELL MY LOCAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO USE THEM!!!

My move went incredibly smoothly thanks the incredible work of both Oscar’s, Franklin and Nico. They helped me set up all the big furniture I had in storage and even helped me put together some smaller things as I am not very handy. All four of them were friendly, professional, quick and calm. White Glove was absolutely the best movers we have ever used.
Stone and his crew were unbelievable in handling the move out from our apartment in NJ. Every piece was properly wrapped and protected and catalogued by number. Have never seen anything like it! The delivery crew in Florida was similarly superb in unloading. Virtually every item on both ends was handled with care and came through without a scratch. Communication was terrific, including quality assurance checks. On top of that they were reasonably priced.
This is the moving company to use!
