At White Glove Moving & Storage, we understand that moving is more than just a change of location—it’s a transformative life event.
Helping Students Move Forward with a $1,000 Scholarship
With over 30 years of experience in the moving industry, we’ve helped countless families and individuals navigate their relocations with care and ease. Whether moving to a new city, starting college, or relocating with family, every move holds significance.
We also recognize the unique challenges students face—whether it’s moving out of campus housing for the summer, storing belongings between living arrangements, or relocating temporarily for internships or study abroad programs. Moving and organizing belongings can be a lot to manage, and we’re here to offer moving, packing, and storage services to make these transitions easier.
To support students during these important moments, we’re proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to assist with academic expenses, allowing students to focus more on their studies and less on the logistics of relocation.
Scholarship Details
- Award Amount: $1,000
- Submission Format: Essay (500–750 words)
- Topic: “The Most Meaningful Move in My Life”
- Eligibility: Open to high school seniors, university students, and college students enrolled in an accredited U.S. institution
- Deadline: June 1, 11:59 PM EST. Late submissions will be declined.
- Winner Announcement: June 15
How to Apply
1. Write a 500–750 word essay on “The Most Meaningful Move in My Life.” Your essay should reflect on a personal moving experience that had a lasting impact on your life. Consider how the move changed your perspective, challenged you, or helped you grow.
2. Use a Google Doc document
No special formatting required to submit your essay

3. Complete the Application Form below.
Selection Criteria
The winning essay will be selected based on:
- Creativity & Originality – A unique and compelling story.
- Clarity & Organization – Well-structured and engaging writing.
- Impact & Reflection – How well the essay conveys personal growth and significance of the move.
- Relevance to Topic – How effectively the essay addresses the theme.
- Fairness and Authenticity – All submissions will be checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content using Grammarly. Essays that are not original or are found to be generated by AI will be disqualified.
Review Process
After the submission deadline, essays will be shortlisted by our selection committee. All shortlisted essays will be posted on our Instagram and Facebook pages for public voting.
Voting works as follows:
- Each like and comment on your essay post on our social media pages counts as one vote
- Finalists can boost their votes by sharing their essay on their personal Instagram
- Tag @whiteglovemoving in your personal Instagram post to have those likes and comments counted toward your total
- Use Instagram’s Collaborate feature with us to have all likes and comments on the collaborative post count toward your final vote tally.
The essay that receives the highest combined vote count across Instagram and Facebook will be awarded the scholarship. The winner will be notified via email and announced on our website and social media channels.
Privacy & Data Usage
All personal information submitted through the application form will be used solely for the purpose of the scholarship application. White Glove Moving & Storage will not share or sell applicants’ personal data. Applicants’ names and essays will be published on our website and social media channels for public voting.
Terms & Conditions
- The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the winner within one month of the winner’s announcement.
- The winner is responsible for any tax implications of receiving the scholarship.
- By submitting an entry, applicants grant White Glove Moving & Storage permission to publish their essay on our website and social media.

Above and beyond service and professionalism from start to finish. They are thorough, complete, and incredibly hard working. Our team, lead by Boyan (who was fantastic!), were courteous, polite, and worked non-stop to make our move as seamless as possible. Absolutely phenomenal service. First they moved my condo in 2023, now they moved my Pilates business. I’m talking very heavy fitness equipment etc, and they did it so quickly/ seamlessly. Stone was the manager on my latest move and they were all excellent. Very highly recommend!

We had an outstanding experience with White Glove from start to finish. The move out of our apartment was seamless. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and took great care to wrap and pack everything securely. The storage process was smooth, and the move into our new house was just as impressive. Nothing was broken or damaged, and everything arrived in perfect condition.

My move was probably more difficult than most. I have lots of heavy musical gear and computers. And it was very well hidden in my original house. As I started pre-packing, I realized the amount was enormous. I could barely move many of the large boxes myself. In came a team of 4 medium-sized guys, but they were STRONG! I couldn't believe how they carefully lifted things effortlessly - and retaped my boxes to prevent them ripping. They FILLED their truck front to back and top to bottom with my stuff. And then they went the whole 8.5 hours with only a lunch break. They were unstoppable and never lost focus or got sloppy. I held off this review until I had unpacked everything and knew they didn't have any accidents I didn't know about. But now I can safely say they didn't have ANY breakage. I am now completely moved into my new home and am thankful that the A-team they sent made this such a stress-free experience.

Theses guys are AMAZING. They gave me an estimate just 4 days before I needed to move, and the price was really great. The crew showed up on time, was super friendly, professional; they were incredibly careful with all of our stuff, but especially our fragile items like art and an antique grandfather clock. They were speedy, and left absolutely not one mark anywhere in the home I moved out of, or the house I moved into. When I changed my mind (several times) about where I wanted things in the new house, they were super polite and happy to move things for me. They are THE BEST. You will not be disappointed.

I selected White Glove Moving to handle the fairly large move from a home I'd been in for decades to a new location two hours away in another state largely on the basis of these reviews and the apparent professionalism on view on their website... and then some phone conversations with Mike G. of the sales management team. For the largest part I was not disappointed. Mike was a great resource throughout... friendly, fair, knowledgeable and patient. Due to delays in my moving schedule, Gaby was out to the house twice to provide estimates and working with him was also a top-notch experience. When it came time for the actual move, the team led by Emad and Ezzat (special kudos to Ricardo as well) did amazing work. They handled all my special requests extremely well and went above and beyond in multiple cases to make things better, sometimes anticipating needs and improvement opportunities I'd never thought of. And as I told them myself, I have literally never seen such hard workers in my entire life... these folks worked their butts off. I had a less than stellar experience with Customer Care after the fact... clueless phone reps and an attitude-y adjuster for the few small issues that arose... but the rest of the team performed so well I'm going to leave the rating at 5 stars.

We had a great experience with this company. Starting with the initial phone call, the entire experience was easy and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. When the movers arrived at our house they were efficient and made sure to take extra care by wrapping furniture and covering floors and walls to avoid damage. In addition to making sure they didn’t damage anything they were also really quick. Highly recommend!

Simply amazing! As this was our first move using a moving company, we were very nervous. If you've heard horror stories about moving companies, this is NOT one of them. They were patient and professional during the entire process. In case your worrying about additional fees, the crew was fast and did not delay the process at all. If your questioning boxes and packaging materials in your estimate, STOP. They are the professionals. We thought we did a good job packing ourselves until we saw how much more packing materials were needed. Your items will be handled with care, from wrapping furniture to carefully packing boxes that you may not have gotten around to. Hope this review concludes you searching for a moving company because these guys are no joke. I believe my crew leaders name was Ezat. Special thank you to him for keeping the job flowing as smooth as it did. Lastly, please tip these people accordingly. THEY ARE BUSTING THEIR A$$ FOR YOUR MOVE! EXCELLENT!!! If we could give these folks a hundred stars we would. The men that showed up were so professional and polite. Wonderful and respectful people. Our furniture was wrapped carefully and delicately handled. Each and every piece. They carried my large up right piano with such care and accuracy. They wrapped my piano and made sure it was handled with care. In addition, we have a 600lb safe which the men had no problem getting that down from our upstairs room to the truck. My husband and I have moved over 12 times and we have never seen such professionalism and care in handling our furniture. We wish we knew of this company many years ago with all our other moves. If you go with WG, you can sit back and relax as your furniture, etc. will be handled with care. THE VERY BEST!!

I got scammed by my previous “moving company” and had to book White Glove Moving the day before my move. The people at White Glove Moving went above and beyond to fit me in with my tight schedule and I am forever grateful!! Francisco and his team showed up on time and completely blew my mind with their efficiency and attention to detail. As a perfume collector I had already packed 80+ bottles of perfume in preparation for the move. Francisco saw how fragile they are and INDIVIDUALLY PACKED EACH BOTTLE AGAIN. That was insane. They also cleaned up so well after carefully packing up my furniture. I’m so so grateful for White Glove Moving and Francisco and his team because this would not have been possible without them! White glove arrived on time, finished my move early and delivered everything in perfect condition. They didn’t bump any walls and were amazing through tight spaces. I have a crumby desk I built myself with some cheap ikea components. It broke in transit (due to my construction being shoddy, not them). They fixed it when they saw the break and now it’s sturdier than it was before the move. Their pricing was fair and transparent. They quoted me 7 hours and took an hour off the price when we finished early. I have a few friends with similarly positive experiences too.
